Overview

In 2019, I was approached to test a concept for a consumer finance app. After identifying key user problems in the cashback space, I worked with the Founder/CEO to design a truly sticky service. The results? A 97% three-month retention rate and weekly turnover of £15 million.

Approach

My recommendations for JamDoughnut centred around the concept of 'Jam Jar Saving', something I found the target demographic was highly familiar with. By analysing market trends, I settled on a core principle of 'rewards for nothing'. Key actions are rewarded with cashback, delivered in increments that lead to high retention. In exchange for shopping as they normally would, JamDoughnut gives users market-leading cashback rates.
